Understanding Your Dashboard
The Dashboard is your home screen — it gives you a snapshot of your firm's activity and highlights items that need attention.
KPI Cards
At the top of the dashboard you'll see five key metrics:
- Open matters — Total active cases across the firm.
- Upcoming deadlines — Deadlines due within the next 14 days.
- Billable hours this month — Total hours logged by all team members in the current month.
- Outstanding invoices — Number of unpaid invoices (sent or overdue).
- At-risk matters — Cases where costs are approaching or exceeding the expected fee. See Managing Case Status and Workflow for profitability details.
Recent Activity Feed
Below the KPI cards, a chronological feed shows the latest actions across your firm:
- Documents uploaded
- Matters opened or closed
- Invoices sent or paid
- Appointments scheduled
- Deadline alerts triggered
- Time entries logged
Each entry links directly to the relevant matter, document, or invoice so you can take action immediately.
Quick Actions
Use the dashboard shortcuts to jump straight to common tasks — creating a new matter, logging time, or scheduling an appointment.
Tips
- Check your dashboard first thing each morning for a quick overview of the day's priorities.
- The "at-risk matters" count is your early warning system — investigate any case flagged before it becomes unprofitable.
