Available Templates

Digiiworks Legal includes pre-built templates for common South African legal documents:

• Demand letters — Customised with debtor details, amounts, and payment terms
• Affidavits — Structured with deponent information and relevant facts
• Settlement agreements — Pre-formatted with party details and terms
• Maintenance agreements — Including child details and payment schedules
• Protection order applications — With incident details and relief sought

How to Generate a Document

1. Navigate to the relevant Matter → Documents tab.
2. Click Generate from Template.
3. Select a template from the library.
4. Review the pre-filled fields — data is pulled from the matter and client records.
5. Edit any fields that need adjustment.
6. Click Generate — the AI drafts the document using Claude.

How It Works Behind the Scenes

• Documents are generated using the Claude Batch API with temporary, short-lived tokens.
• Client data is decrypted temporarily in a secure server function, used for generation, then discarded.
• The generated document is encrypted before storage. See Security, Encryption and POPIA Compliance for details.
• The process typically takes 15–30 seconds.

Important Notes

• Always review generated documents before sending to clients or filing. AI-generated content should be treated as a first draft.
• Templates can be customised by your firm — contact support to request modifications.
• Document generation counts toward your firm's monthly AI usage allocation.
