Using the Onboarding Checklist
The onboarding checklist appears the first time you log in and is always accessible from the sidebar under Onboarding. It ensures you complete every setup step before you start using the platform.
Steps
The checklist is tailored to your firm's tier. Common steps include:
- Firm profile — Enter your firm name, contact details, and upload your logo. See Customising Your Firm Branding.
- Invite team members — Send magic-link invitations to your colleagues. See User Roles and Permissions.
- Connect calendar — Link Google Workspace or Outlook. See Setting Up Calendar Integration.
- Import existing matters — Upload a CSV of your historical caseload.
- Configure deadline rules — Set up automatic deadline creation by case type. See Deadline Tracking and Compliance Alerts.
Tracking Progress
- Each step shows a tick once completed.
- You can return to the checklist at any time — completed steps stay ticked.
- Steps are independent — complete them in any order.
Tips
- Complete the checklist within your first week to get the most from the platform.
- The checklist uses sensible defaults (e.g., standard South African family law deadline rules) — you can customise later.
